About
Vision
To train, equip and connect Christian students to be leaders and people of influence. There is a widening gap between Christian youth in Canada and the un-churched of their generation. Canadian youth are becoming increasingly disillusioned with the church and are actively seeking to have their spiritual needs met elsewhere. Now more than ever, youth are searching for real spirituality, transparent people, and authentic community.campusfire, a grassroots ministry, was formed to meet these youth on their journey, in their own schools. Along with the local church, we are empowering young Christians to be those transparent people and to build those authentic communities. Our focus is to build these communities for the students who are not part of the Christian church and who have neither heard nor experienced the gospel of Jesus.
Canada's 4,800+ schools are forums for the countless ideas that shape the country's youth and youth culture. We envision Christians creating and nurturing communities within their schools that are safe places for students to be themselves, and to learn about God. We believe that through these communities and friendships, people will meet Jesus, experience true freedom and grow as individuals to shape society and influence their world.
Mission
To lead students on a journey towards God. We are committed to equipping Christian students with the resources they need to build relationships with their peers and lead them to Jesus. By the lives they lead and the relationships they build, these young leaders are influencing their friends and their culture. We firmly believe that within a context of friendship and community, Christian students will invite their peers to examine the truth of the gospel, to know Jesus, and discover more about themselves. As these communities grow, they provide a safe environment for students to journey together and meet God.
